JRM Racing is pleased to announce that it is offering its two remaining FIA GT1 World Championship winning Nissan GT-R NISMO GT1s for sale by auction.

The unique opportunity to purchase these rare, official NISMO-built, Nissan GT-Rs will conclude in Abu Dhabi on 2nd December ? to coincide with UAE National Day. The sale is expected to raise considerable sums for charity.
The cars will be put on display in the Al Masaood Automobiles flagship Nissan showroom in Khalidiya area, where they can be viewed throughout November.

Prospective buyers and VIP guests will be invited to attend an exclusive introduction event at the dealership on Monday 12th November 2012, This will include a presentation and a chance to take a close look at the cars.

A further invitation will be extended to attend the auction night itself on Sunday 2nd December, when last-minute bids will be accepted and the lucky new owners of the cars will be revealed.

?We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a private collector or enthusiast to purchase these two very special cars that have made their mark in motorsport history?, said JRM Group CEO James Rumsey. ?As we are no longer able to race these Nissan GT-Rs in the GT1 World Championship, we would like to see them become part of a private collection and kept for posterity.?It is no coincidence that we have decided to hold this sale in Abu Dhabi, as the first rounds of the GT1 World Championship in both 2010 and 2011 took place at Yas Marina Circuit. Therefore, the region holds some great memories for us.?

Irfan Tansel General Manager at Al Masaood Automobiles, who are hosting both of the preview event and the auction itself, said: ?We have contributed generously towards philanthropic activities in the past by donating different types of vehicles for people and groups with special needs, such as the Red Crescent organisation. We are therefore delighted to be the part of the charitable activity in association with JRM Group and wholeheartedly support this initiative as part of our commitment in making a contribution to our community.?

following a total of five race wins, 14 podium finishes, five fastest laps the drivers , Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr emerged from the tenth and final round as FIA GT1 World Champions.

About the cars

In January 2010, JRM purchased an identical pair GT1 Nissan GT-Rs, two of only five designed and constructed by NISMO (Nissan Motorsport International Co. Ltd.) in Japan, specifically to compete in the FIA GT1 World Championship. The season saw Germany?s Michael Krumm and Britain?s Peter Dumbreck drive car #23, whilst Jamie Campbell-Walter (who regularly drives at Yas Marina) and Warren Hughes ? also from Britain ? occupied car #22.

The championship blasted off in spectacular style at the Abu Dhabi circuit for the first of its ten rounds in ten different countries. The team then went on to score two outright victories, eight podium finishes and won the coveted RAC Tourist Trophy, the oldest perpetual award in motorsport history. Spurred on by the success of its inaugural year, the team regrouped for another full season in 2011 and with just one aim in its sights: to become World Champions!

Once again, the action began in Abu Dhabi, with Michael Krumm partnered this year by his fellow countryman Lucas Luhr in car #23. Consequently, Peter Dumbreck moved into car #22 and was joined by another talented British driver, Richard Westbrook.

Throughout the 2011 season the JRM GT-Rs were seen competing at the front of the field and, following a total of five race wins, 14 podium finishes, five fastest laps and the team winning the Tourist Trophy for the second year in a row, Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr emerged from the tenth and final round as FIA GT1 World Champions.

With changes in the championship regulations coming into force for 2012, it transpired that only GT3 specification cars would be eligible to contest this year?s FIA GT1 World Championship and therefore, the two JRM Nissan GT-Rs would not be seen competing again. Both cars have since been completely rebuilt at JRM?s technical facility in South East England and are now meticulously prepared to race specification.

The move from GT1 to GT3 for global sports car racing has seen JRM form an additional partnership with NISMO to develop and construct the first commercially available and ready-to-race Nissan ever produced: the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. The company has been appointed as the official supplier for Europe, Russia and the Middle East and is soon to launch its updated 2013 version.
