Mount Your Tablet above the Kitchen Counter with Sugru

Mount Your Tablet above the Kitchen Counter with Sugru Whether it's serving as an interactive cookbook or a wireless TV, a tablet is an awesome kitchen companion. But keeping it on the counter can expose it to spilled ingredients, and doesn't offer great viewing angles. Mounting it on the wall above your counter is a perfect solution, and all it takes is a little Sugru.

All you have to do is stick three dollops of Sugru on your backsplash. Two will run along the bottom edge of the tablet, and the third will hold it in place from above. Once they're attached, wrap the tablet in saran wrap and rub some soap on the edges so it can slide in and out easily. Mount the device between the nubs, and curl the Sugru around its edges to form tiny shelves that hold it in place. Once you're satisfied, slide the tablet out and let the putty cure for about day. The next time you cook dinner, you'll have a minimal, semi-permanent tablet mount to hold your digital recipe book.

For more detailed installation instructions and photos, be sure to check out the full walkthrough at Sugru's website. If you have any leftovers when you're done, try some of our other clever uses for the versatile substance.
