I just came across this great website, called InsureMyTrip, where I can compare the cost of travel insurance through a large variety of providers. I am so surprised that I did not know about this website before, but now I am definitely bookmarking it and I will be utilizing it as one of my go-to sites before purchasing travel insurance.
Below is my recent search for my trip to Mexico in February 2013 and the number of different rates that I can get. By clicking on the ?View? button, you can see what the different plans offer and choose what is best for your personal needs. I personally look for coverage on: Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Travel Baggage (Delay), Medical, Emergency Evacuation, and 24-Hour Emergency Assistance. I decided to go with the John Hancock Bronze Package because it included all of the coverage that I needed at an affordable price ($22 for 6 days).
