• Comcast Offers Free Wi-Fi Service to All in Sandy?s Path Cable giant Comcast said it would open up many of its 50,000 Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots in States that were hit by Sandy, in order to help out those without internet. • AMBER Alerts for Missing Children Now in Google Search and Maps Google now allows you to search the web and its Maps webapp for information on missing children. • Google Play Carrier Billing for Verizon Goes Live Verizon has finally joined AT&T and T-Mobile and launched carrier billing for Android users, letting you purchase apps from the Google Play store by charging your wireless bill. • Facebook Tests Timeline Layout with Single Column of Posts Responding to user complaints about Timeline?s confusing two-column view, Facebook is testing out a one-column version with a small number of users.
